Cancellation
Roos Research paid plans are monthly subscriptions that renew automatically. You can cancel at any time — there's no minimum term and no cancellation fee.
How to cancel
- Open the app at app.roosresearch.com, go to Plans, and choose Cancel plan.
- Or email us at divan@roonieschmidt.com and we'll cancel it for you.
What happens after you cancel
- Your subscription is set not to renew. You keep your current plan's benefits until the end of the billing period you've already paid for.
- At the end of that period, your account automatically moves to the Free plan. You won't be charged again.
- Your data and account remain intact on the Free plan — you can resubscribe whenever you like.
Refunds
Because Roos Research is a digital service billed monthly and you can cancel at any time, we generally do not provide refunds for the current billing period once it has started — cancelling simply stops future renewals while you keep access for the period already paid.
When we will issue a refund
We will refund you promptly in these cases:
- Duplicate or accidental charges — for example, if you were billed twice for the same period.
- Billing errors — if you were charged an incorrect amount or charged after a valid cancellation.
- Extended service failure — if a technical fault on our side prevents you from using the service for a significant part of a billing period and we can't resolve it.
Goodwill
If you're charged for a renewal you didn't intend and you contact us within 7 days before using your new period's actions, we'll usually refund it as a goodwill gesture, at our discretion.
How to request a refund
Email divan@roonieschmidt.com from the address on your account, with the date and amount of the charge and a short description of the issue. We aim to respond within 3 business days. Approved refunds are returned to your original payment method through our payment provider, Paystack, and usually appear within 5–10 business days depending on your bank.
Your statutory rights
This policy is in addition to — and does not limit — any rights you may have under applicable consumer-protection law, including the South African Consumer Protection Act. If anything here conflicts with your statutory rights, your statutory rights prevail.
